Bringing Kids Yoga Into The Classroom

Correct, I come to you! Space outside is always best, kids enjoy the nature and feeling the air hit their face when practicing yoga and being in meditation.
School curriculums were created by people who have maybe forgotten how it was to be kids, and include expectations that cannot be fulfilled even by most adults – can you sit for 5 or more hours a day and listen to a lecture without moving and fidgeting?

A couple of stretches and a few deep breaths with kids yoga every few minutes can help greatly in keeping the kids' attention throughout a class.
students quickly learn to use yoga as a tool, not just to increase physical fitness, but also to manage their feelings and behaviors, and to create a mental state ready for learning and taking tests.
The following are some of the benefits of yoga and movement to maximize the learning process:

KIDS YOGA CAMP DESCRIPTION
Drop your children off to join Christina a certified Kidding Around Yoga Teacher and mother of 5, for this 3-hour fun-filled Yoga Day Camp with Christina for your little ones ages 4-12.
Kids Yoga Day Camp will include playful yoga poses, animated breathing exercises, yoga games, meditation, and imaginative relaxation techniques.
The class will be an equal balance between active & passive poses, music, and crafts!
Come explore, play and have fun.

Parent & Child ( walkers - 3 yrs)
Partner with your toddler in simple animated poses, games, music and breathing exercises that help to strengthen coordination and build body awareness. We'll bark in downward dog, meow in cat pose and wave our branches in the wind when we are a tree. This fun class provides key bonding methods between parent and child while strengthening their growing muscles and learning how to calm our bodies and mind. A class is 45 minutes.

Kids Community Yoga
This class includes all of the yoga fun, with an economy friendly price tag. Group poses are emphasized. For ages 2 - 7 years, with or without a grownup (2-year-olds must have a grownup participate in class). A class is 45 minutes ( this class is in the park in the summertime)

Kids Only Yoga Classes
3 - 4-year-olds

Fun, inspirational classes. In this imaginative series, we combine simple yoga poses with engaging songs, pompoms for playing with our toes and stories that exercise social, sensory and motor skills while increasing flexibility. A class is 45 minutes.

4 - 6-year-olds
This playful class encourages self-expression as well as building social skills. Children will strengthen their bodies as they learn how to focus on breathing and relaxation techniques. A class is 45 minutes.

7 - 9-year-olds
Improve strength, flexibility, and coordination. Children will learn how to focus and center themselves with breathing techniques. They will learn PEACE BEGINS WITH ME while learning to use their yoga breath. They will also learn self-respect and respect for others with the practice of fun and challenging poses, partner and group pose, lots of yoga games. A class is 45 minutes.

Family Yoga Class
(Class for 2 - 7 yrs and 10+ yrs)

Yoga is a great activity that you can do with your child no matter what age! Partner poses are emphasized, ensuring great bonding time. We'll also include group poses, we'll play fun yoga games, practice partner and group poses.
This class promises fun for the whole family because you can do yoga together forever! A class is 45 minutes for 2-6 & 7-12 yr olds and 60 minutes.



The circle is never complete because we keep on adding children to it when we teach yoga through play
